Integrating the Arts with Medicine with Lewis Mehl-Madrona and Barbara Mainguy through the Transformative Language Arts Network

Where: Online

Cost: $340 - $395 , scholarships may be available

Medicine desperately needs the arts. But artists can be quickly rejected when they don’t understand the culture of medicine and how doctors think. To forestall that quick rejection, doctors also need to understand how artists think.

Our aim is to provide language and visual artists with sufficient understanding of the culture of medicine so that they might interact with physicians and other health professionals to bring the arts into patient care and into the environment of medicine.

We also want to expose health care practitioners to the world of the artist to better understand how to interact with artists to improve patient care and also for their personal benefit. Health care practitioners work within implicit stories that are largely not understood or examined by them. Through engaging with the arts, they can become more aware of these stories and able to reflect upon how they might change their stories to provide better patient care, to nurture themselves, and prevent personal burnout.

Rita Charon of Columbia University has written about the importance of health care practitioners writing stories about their patients and their patient encounters. Some points we will consider:

  • Poetry and the visual arts provide other means for becoming aware of feelings, beliefs, and biases.

  • Improved language arts skills help physicians to find the metaphors of their patients’ illnesses.

We will finish the course by inviting participants to write a proposal for how they might bring their art into a health care setting within their communities. We hope that students will present their proposals, and utilize them make a positive contribution to their communities.

Week by Week Course Outline

Week 1:  Introduction to the arts in medicine with examples of successful interactions and programs

Week 2: How do doctors think?

Week 3: How do artists think?

Week 4: What are the constraints existing in health care settings that make it hard to introduce the arts?

Week 5: Telling stories about patients – writing fiction and creative non-fiction

Week 6: Poetry and medicine

Week 7: Bringing the Visual Arts into medicine

Week 8: Discussing projects that could be proposed into health care settings in participants’ neighborhoods

Who Should Take This Class

We are interested in attracting artists of all types who want to bring their art into medicine. We also want to attract health care practitioners who are open to the arts and want more exposure to the arts and how they can use the arts in patient care and for their own personal growth and well-being. We hope to create an opportunity for interactions within the live part of the class and also on the discussion board among health care practitioners and artists.

TLAN offers scholarships based on income as well as some partial scholarships for people living with serious illness and/or disability or people of color through the Caryn Mirriam-Goldberg Fund. Please fill out this scholarship application form so that we can find the best way to make the class accessible to you.

Format

This is a hybrid online class, conducted through Zoom meetings and the online classroom Wet Ink. Zoom meetings are scheduled for 4:30 pm Eastern time on Tuesdays. Sessions will be recorded and made available only to the class.

Online readings and an asynchronous discussion board will be hosted on the online teaching platform Wet Ink. The day before class begins, you will receive an email invitation from Wet Ink. There are no browser requirements, and Wet Ink is mobile-friendly. The Wet Ink platform allows you to log in and complete the coursework on your own time.

Coyote Institute's Fourth Annual Two-Eyed Seeing Conference

Coyote Institute's Fourth Annual Two-Eyed Seeing Conference

When: January 24-26, 2025

Where: Virtually (on Zoom) and in-person at the University of New England in Biddeford, Maine.

Register: HERE

Our Fourth Annual Two-Eyed Seeing Conference will be held January 24-26, 2025 both virtually and in-person at the University of New England in Biddeford, Maine.

Our inspiration for this annual conference comes from Albert Marshall, a M’iqmak elder who popularized the term two-eyed seeing, or etuaptmumk, in his language. Two-eyed seeing establishes the equal validity of indigenous ways of knowing with contemporary scientific ways of knowing. It is a generous concept that recognizes the value of understanding these various paradigms and acknowledging that they can co-exist, and be applied, in integrative ways. In this year's conference, we explore the application of the concept of Two-Eyed Seeing in healthcare through the work of our presenters.

We are excited to have already confirmed expert speakers from around the globe with deep knowledge to share in Ayurveda, Osteopathy, Indigenous mental health practices, Women’s health, herbalism, and much more. Our conference will feature a diversity of voices, as we believe that inclusion, equality, and diversity are of upmost importance in our conference programming. Please see our full schedule below.

Our conference will take place live - both virtually and in person - in Maine, USA. For those joining us in person, the event space in Maine will open at 7:30 AM daily. For those joining virtually, the Zoom meeting will start at 8 AM each day. We will end at 5 PM each day.

All presentations will be recorded for later viewing by attendees. All attendees will receive free access to all recorded presentations for one month following the conference. Lifetime access to all recorded presentations is available for an additional fee.

Tickets to this highly-anticipated conference are on sale now. We offer a tiered pricing model to allow for greater accessibility across audiences of all backgrounds and income levels.

Join us in beautiful Hawaii for four days of healing. We’re going to come together as a group interested in healing, and work together to accomplish that purpose – both learning about healing and being healed (including figuring out what that means). Maybe it means finding a sense of peace and harmony in one’s life. Maybe it means reducing suffering from an illness. Maybe it means addressing emotional pain. Within all these possibilities we are invited to see illness as a state that arises from a lack of harmony and balance and can be corrected.

We will spend four hours together each day in our private suite to work together towards healing. We will also organize optional social events during off hours for those who are interested in participating. Alternately, you may take the remainder of the time to yourself to relax and unwind however you see fit.

Healing intensive meeting schedule:

Wed 2/26: 1-5

Thurs 2/27: 1-5

Fri 2/28: 8-12

Sat 3/1: 8-12

The investment for this course is $995. Accommodations, meals and airfare are not included in the cost of this retreat. We ask you arrange these items on your own.

Due to the in-depth nature of this retreat, we are limiting enrollment to four participants.

In this transformative workshop, journey into the roots of American osteopathy and discover the indigenous healing practices that shaped it. Our path takes us back to the healing wisdom of the Cherokee, Pawnee, and Shawnee peoples, whose hands-on techniques influenced Andrew Taylor Still, founder of osteopathy, who spoke Shawnee and embraced their healing ways.

Traditional Cherokee people called their techniques of hands-on healing “reading the body,” and in this workshop, we will demonstrate these indigenous techniques, comparing them to American osteopathy and traditional Chinese medicine. We will explore how these indigenous people used various strategies for touching the body, including deep pressure, rocking, shaking, running energy meridians, mobilization, and breath work as a means to restore spirit to all parts of the body, We'll guide you through supervised practice with the methods of Cherokee bodywork and offer examples of incorporating imagery and dialogue; the importance of ceremony, ritual, and intent; manipulative medicine as a means of dialogue with the body; Cherokee acupuncture and knowledge of energy meridians and energy medicine; understanding how this form of healing as mind-body-spirit integration takes place in community; and more.

Almost all indigenous cultures had direct, hands-on methods of healing, and the Cherokee were no exception. Learn the Cherokee art of healing touch, a form of bodywork that is rarely encountered today. In this workshop, we will explore:

  • Supervised practice of Cherokee bodywork

  • Cherokee breathwork techniques, as a means of restoring spirit to all parts of the body

  • The incorporation of imagery and dialogue into bodywork

  • The importance of ceremony, ritual, and intent in bodywork

  • Osteopathic or “manipulative” medicine as a means of dialogue with the body

  • Cherokee use of acupressure, energy meridians, and energy medicine

Whether you're a seasoned bodyworker or a beginner simply drawn to healing, join us in rediscovering the indigenous art of healing touch.

Those who have access to a yoga mat or a massage table are encouraged to bring them to the event to work on.

Would you like to experience indigenous methods of healing and learn to incorporate them into your current practice?  Join Lewis Mehl-Madrona, Barbara Mainguy, and Bob Vetter for a weekend of embodied healing teachings, practices and techniques that you can put to immediate use.

Various indigenous healing disciplines from all over the world use a two-step process: first eliciting a story about what caused a person's imbalance or "dis-ease," and second, hands-on methods of touch that move the person toward balance and wholeness.

In this weekend, we explore practical healing methods including:

•  Deep sacred listening to uncover the root cause of imbalance that is "storied" in the body

•  Understanding "susto," or soul fright and learning how to bring back the lost parts of "you" following trauma

•  Supervised practice with methods of Indigenous North American Body Work including deep pressure, rocking, shaking, running energy meridians, mobilization and breath work

•  Connecting with the body through dialogue and imagery

•  How to uncover and shift underlying disempowering beliefs that keep us "stuck"

•  Methods to ceremonialize and make sacred the connecting of narrative medicine with body work

This workshop is suitable for all levels––from experienced bodywork practitioners to psychotherapists with an interest in the body to beginners who want to start down the road of mind-body healing.

Register for this event HERE.

Cancellation and refund policy: Cancellations requested through 11/6/24 will receive a refund minus a $75 processing fee per ticket. Cancellations requested after 11/6 are eligible for a credit towards a future event or class, minus a $75 processing fee per ticket.

This workshop will explore this relationship and look at it from western eyes and indigenous eyes. It will tackle the theft of one’s body by the pharmaceutical and medical industries, the contamination by the food industry. How do you truly love and respect your body? How can you think about the relationship? It will touch on the ideas of what consciousness is and where it is located. Does it belong to the community? How does the relationship with the body change with the life of the person from the cradle to the grave. It will look at the relationship of the breath to functioning well and to the individual’s relationship with breathing. We live in breathless times and it takes its toll on body and soul. Come and join us for a fascinating weekend.

Listen to Your Ancestors: Bring Their Voices to the Page

When: October 18-20, 2024

Where: Omega Institute: Rhinebeck, NY

Cost: $365 Omega Member/ $410 Non-Member

Register: HERE

Join Lisa Lisa Weinert, Jamia Wilson, Lewis Mehl-Madrona, Kim Thai, and Maud Newton to explore the many voices that inform the words we write on the page in this intimate workshop for writing and listening.

When we sit down to write, we bring many histories with us, in the form of identity markers, family members, ethnicities, religions, race, geography, and more. Let's take a breath here and inquire: Who else is present?

Our ancestors—whether from our own genetic line or any other influence in our lives—can bring inspiration, direction, connection, and belonging. In this weekend retreat we explore who we bring with us to the page—and how they can help.

We listen closely and gain understanding of how these voices inform the words that come through us and onto the page. As we learn that we are not alone, these muses, protectors, and in some cases threats, can also help us distinguish which is our true voice.

This intimate immersion provides structure and resources to help us meet our goals in a vibrant and diverse community of writers. Together we learn to surrender to the story that needs to be told, including the ones we’ve inherited.

Join us for this immersive workshop, conducted in French, featuring Lewis Mehl-Madrona and Barbara Mainguy.

Beyond learning; we'll build a circle to create collective energy, drawing on indigenous concepts. We'll forge bonds of friendship and experience the healing power of community. We'll explore how energy gains power when we interact. In this environment, we'll say goodbye to old stories and welcome new ones  - Lewis and Barbara

This workshop will help us find our own healing path and discover the healer within.

Supported by Lewis and Barbara's unconditional listening, humor and experience, we'll gain confidence in our own voice and creative potential through talking circles, life stories, traditional tales, song, dance, drumming, rituals, ceremony and energy healing. We'll discover the healing role of stories, identify our parasitic inner voices and invent playful scenarios to replace our obsolete narratives of failure.

We'll learn about Native American concepts of balance and health, and discover where recent discoveries in neuroscience and epigenetics intersect. We'll experience ceremony as a way of approaching the spirit world together, and become aware of the ongoing interactions between psyche, body, health and spirituality.

Trance-formative Ceremonies for Healing

When: August 30  - September 1, 2024

Friday: 11 AM - 6 PM

Saturday: 10 AM- 5 PM

Sunday: 9 AM - 4 PM

Where: N.E.S.T. in Woodstock, NY

Cost: Sliding Scale $150 - $600

Register: HERE

We invite you to gather with us in community to explore the “medicine” of creating ceremonies of the living spirit together. Led by Dr. Lewis Mehl-Madrona, Barbara Mainguy, and Peter Blum, we will discover that an integral part of this process is to work with our stories. What are the stories that we tell ourselves and others? Do they empower us; enrich our lives? Or are they stories that place us in the role of victims, disempowered, and with impoverished lives? Learn how, through a narrative approach, we can help each other craft better stories.

Within our approach, we recognize that non-ordinary states of consciousness facilitate personal transformation, and the creation of new stories. With this in mind, we will work through imagery, ceremony, hypnosis, prayer, singing, drumming, drawing, mask-making, sacred drama, and ridiculous humor to find these non-ordinary or liminal spaces.

Along with group exercises in the Sanctuary, participants will also be able to utilize the natural beauty of 23+ acres of wooded mountainside and streams where the N.E.S.T. is situated, just a few minutes from the center of Woodstock, NY. The final day of this 3-day retreat includes the ancient purification lodge ceremony sometimes referred to as “inipi” or “stone people’s lodge”, followed by a potluck dinner.

This event is sliding scale to allow people with different budgets to attend.  It is our intention, whenever possible, not to turn anyone away for financial reasons. If you are in need of a further reduced rate, please reach out and we will work with you.

We encourage you to attend this three day event in full. On- site lodging is available for an additional fee.

Through centuries and across cultures, we have learned that stones contain a mysterious and spiritual power. As our oldest relatives, they teach us that they can contain our suffering and our stories. Join Lewis Mehl-Madrona, Barbara Mainguy, and Bob Vetter on a pilgrimage to the place known as Cadillac Mountain and Acadia National Park to walk among the rocks to explore the mysteries and connections in history and in our present-day experience.

For thousands of years, people have climbed Cadillac Mountain and looked out from its peak. Originally inhabited by the Wabanaki people, Cadillac Mountain is the highest point on the Eastern Seaboard of the United States. For part of the year, it's the first place in the United States to see the sun rise. But what really makes it special is the incredible beauty and raw power that is palpable when you visit.

In the mornings, we will immerse ourselves in the landscape, hiking the trails etched over centuries in the beautiful earth, characterized by pink granite and forests of spruce, pitch pine, wild blueberries, and gnarled trees. We will explore how to communicate with the More-Than-Humans and the Other-Than-Humans. We will walk in the portals among the worlds to gather information that we will bring back in the afternoons for our collective healing sessions.

In the afternoons, we will meet at the Hampton Inn in Bar Harbor for our group healing sessions. We will explore and record the stories, dreams, and experiences the land inspires in us on our morning hikes.  Each day, we will integrate the power and inspiration drawn from our pilgrimage in the mountains through drumming, singing, sacred drama, altar work, guided imagery and storytelling.

During our time together, each of our three days will be focused on a unique theme. Friday concerns our connection to the mineral world: the wisdom of the ancient grandfathers of the stone world. On Saturday, we explore our connection to the plant world by directly communicating with the plants growing in the mountains. On Sunday, we deepen our connection with the spirits of the animals that inhabit the mountains.

Due to the nature of this event, pre-registration is required.

Come and be awestruck with us as we encounter ocean and stones in all their sculptural and spiritual beauty. Join us in Maine for this unique opportunity for environmental eco-humanist storywork.

Register for this event HERE.

Due to high demand in this beautiful area, you will find accommodations closest to Acadia National Park, including the Hampton Inn where we will convene in the afternoons, tend to be the quite expensive. However, there are also over 500 hotels within 5 miles of the park visitor center available at various price points. You may also find more affordable options in adjacent towns. We recommend exploring options on sites like Airbnb and Hotels.comin South Harbor, Princeton, and Ellsworth, Maine- all just a short drive away. Camping is also an option in the National Park grounds if you reserve now.

We recommend securing your reservation as soon as possible, as hotels in this area do start to sell out around the beginning of June.

We have reserved a block of rooms available at a reduced rate at the Hampton Inn Bar Harbor, where we are gathering in the afternoons. To book a reservation at our discounted rate ($529/night), please contact the hotel at via phone at 207-288-3210 x604 or via email here, and use code “Earth Wisdom” to receive the discounted rate. Guests must book before June 1st, 2024 to be eligible for the discounted rate.

Please note that each private vehicle entering the park will need a National Park pass in the vehicle to enter, and passes need to be obtained in advance to enter the park.  National Park Pass fees range from $0 to $35 for all three days of entry and must be obtained in advance. Please click here to obtain your national park pass.

Because each pass covers four people in the same vehicle, there may be carpool spaces available to allow you to enter without one. Carpool spaces for non-pass holders will be distributed on a first come, first serve basis. We will begin coordinating vehicle carpools with registered attendees in July.

Please contact us here with any questions.

*It is our intention, whenever possible, not to turn anyone away for financial reasons. If you are in need of a reduced rate due to financial hardship, please reach out and we will work with you.

Storytelling and Therapeutic Persuasion (Online)

When: March 6- April 30, 2024, once weekly

Where: Online

Cost: $375

Register: HERE

Listening to stories propels us into non-ordinary states of consciousness from which personal change is more possible.

In this online workshop featuring Lewis Mehl-Madrona and Barbara Mainguy, we will focus on stories to create a sense of agency, stories to heal trauma, and stories about living a better life.

We spend an enormous amount of time persuading people to do what they say they want to do to become healthier. The first step is to create a safe space of radical acceptance without judgment or interpretation. Within that space, storytelling provides a means to persuade people to change.

We will review stories that teach agency, stories that teach more effective ways of managing emotions and relationships, and stories that help people feel better about themselves. We try to use traditional stories from people’s own cultures and review how to pick a story for people from other cultures.

Stories have been told to audiences with a purpose since pre-history. These persuasive stories can be used for good or for evil. Brainwashing lives at the extreme of evil persuasive stories.

In our work, we are attempting to persuade people that they can live without drugs or alcohol, that their lives have meaning and purpose, that they can make sense of their trauma in a way that’s uplifting, that they have agency – meaning that they can take action to improve the quality of their lives.

Besides traditional stories, we use stories about other people or clients we have known, mainstream cultural stories like Disney, and stories that we invent to suit the moment. We will focus on stories to create a sense of agency, stories to heal trauma, and stories about living a better life.

Week by Week Course Outline

Week 1: Creating a safe space of radical acceptance without judgment or interpretation. We look at how storytelling within this space provides a means to persuade people to change. We explore how listening to stories by both client and practitioner propels us into non-ordinary states of consciousness from which personal change is more possible.

Week 2: Stories that Teach Agency. Agency is the sense that our actions can improve our lives and help us gain what we want. When we have agency, we are inspired to take action toward achieving our goals.

Week 3: Stories that teach effective ways of managing emotions and relationships. We are born into stories about how to relate and how to relate to our emotions. Some of these stories are not effective but, rather, defective.

Week 4: Stories that help people feel better about themselves. Stories can help us reframe the decisions we have made in the course of our lives. Stories help us transform blame and shame into celebration and transformation.

Week 5: How to pick a story from another person's culture. Using traditional stories for another person can be powerful. We propose that this is not appropriation but a therapeutic reintroduction of people to their cultures of origin. Some Indigenous people do not know their cultural stories. We can help them to reconnect.

Week 6: Persuasive stories can be used for good or for evil.Brainwashing lives at the extreme of evil persuasive stories. Advertising intends to persuade us to buy what we may not need. People try to persuade others to adopt their political views. Donald Trump, for example, is an expert at the art of persuasion.

Week 7: Sources of stories. Besides drawing stories from our own cultures and those of our clients, we can also use the stories circulating in contemporary cultures. They may come from movies, video games, novels, television, modifications of our own experience, and the inventions of people, places, or animals that we can imagine. Even cartoons can work.

Week 8: Stories inform us of what we should aspire to. Is a good life having much money or having many relationships? Stories tell us how to balance these factors. We know people who devote their lives to money and those who don't. Where is the balance in our capitalistic economy? How do we find a self-sustaining balance?

Who Should Take This Class?

People in the helping professions, teachers, anyone who needs to help people change.

Coyote Institute's Third Annual Two-Eyed Seeing Conference

  • The Alfond Center for Health (map)
  • Google Calendar ICS

The Third Annual Two-Eyed Seeing Conference will be held January 26-28, 2024 both virtually on Zoom and in-person at the Alfond Center for Health in Augusta, Maine.

We are excited to bring together expert speakers from around the globe with deep knowledge to share in Ayurveda, Osteopathy, Indigenous mental health practices, Curanderismo, Indigenous birthing practices, and much more. Please see our full schedule below.

Our conference will take place live - both virtually and in person - in Maine, USA. For those joining us in person, the event space in Maine will open at 7:30 AM daily. For those joining virtually, the Zoom meeting will start at 8 AM each day. We will end at 5 PM on Friday and Saturday, and 4PM on Sunday. All presentations will be recorded for later viewing by attendees.  All attendees will receive free access to all recorded presentations for one month following the conference. Lifetime access to all recorded presentations is available for an additional fee.  We will also be providing live subtitles in various languages for our international conference attendees.

CME/CE for this conference is also available for an additional fee.

CME/CE Details: The University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine (UNE COM) is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) and the Maine Medical Association (MMA) Council on Continuing Medical Education and Accreditation to provide continuing medical education for physicians.  UNE COM has requested that the AOA Council on Continuing Medical Education approve this program for a maximum of 21.5 hours of AOA Category 2-A CME credits. UNE COM designates this educational activity for a maximum of 21.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)TM and 21.5 University of New England contact hours for non-physicians.  Contact hours may be submitted by non-physician, non-PA health professionals for continuing education credits.

Coyote Hypnosis: A Playful Approach to Narrative Trancework

  • Woodstock, New York (map)
  • Google Calendar ICS

Coyote Institute’s Department of Hypnotic Studies is pleased to announce a new hypnosis workshop led by Peter Blum, Lewis Mehl-Madrona, and Barbara Mainguy. This workshop will be held in person from January 19-21, 2024 at The Nest: a beautiful retreat center, which has hosted a number of Coyote Institute gatherings over the past few years , located in Woodstock, New York.

We begin with the understanding that trance is a naturally occurring state. We all go in and out of different “trance states” every day. Traditional healers didn’t have the word “hypnosis”, but they regularly used story, music, imagery, and ceremony to engage the unconscious mind for purposes of healing and guidance.

This workshop is suitable for those who have no prior background studying hypnosis formally, as well as for people with prior training. On Friday, Peter will offer an overview of basic hypnotic concepts. Saturday and Sunday, Peter will be joined by Lewis and Barbara. All three have all been utilizing hypnotic approaches to help others (and themselves) for decades. Together we will explore contemporary and ancient approaches to utilizing the power of the unconscious.

What is it about “Coyote Hypnosis” that distinguishes itself from other types? Traditionally in many cultures, Coyote was a “trickster figure”who was often breaking the rules and bringing teachings through his adventurous mishaps. Coyote embraces contradiction and paradox, cleverly dancing with chaos to bring about creative solutions and healing… In addition, Coyote is the tutelary spirit of "Coyoteway", one of the Navajo curing ceremonies - intended to restore the patient's harmonious relationship with Coyote and the world, and to bring about a return to good health.

Coyote stands outside the circle frequently, which provides Coyote a different perspective, allowing one who takes a Coyote approach to think outside the box. We are planning on lots of demonstrations, opportunities to practice with others, and experiential learning!

Hours: 9:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday

Because this workshop has a “non-sequential approach”, people can attend for one, two, or three days. The price for this event is $600 for three days; $475 for two days, or $250 for one day. Sliding scale options are available for those in need. Participants are responsible for their own food (a large communal kitchen is available for lunch). Lodging is available at The Nest for an additional fee. Space is limited. Pre-registration is requested.

To register, and/or arrange for lodging during the event, please contact Stefanie at 917-657-0730 or stefanie368@gmail.com

Relation of Non-Ordinary States of Consciousness to Change & Transformation

Relation of Non-Ordinary States of Consciousness to Change & Transformation Workshop with Lewis Mehl-Madrona and Barbara Mainguy

When: Sun, 5 Nov 2023 05:00 - 07:00 AM EST

Where: Zoom and recorded for later access

Cost: Self Select Fee

Register: HERE

Why are people drawn to experiences like ceremonies, trance dancing, drumming, hypnosis, and even psychedelics? These are non-ordinary states of consciousness associated with theta rhythm in our brains and potentially disrupt our usual habits of thought and self-perception. The psychiatrist, Milton Erickson, said that hypnosis was not about getting people into trance but getting them out of the trance they were already in. Non-ordinary states increase the activity of certain parts of the story brain while reducing the connectivity of the whole circuit, allowing us greater ease to see ourselves differently. Following some theory, Barbara Mainguy and I will discuss how we use non-ordinary states in our clinical practice, including all of the above except for psychedelics. We will discuss psychedelics and how they are being used clinically and will conclude with a discussion of the power of Indigenous ceremonies for changing states of consciousness. It is through non-ordinary experiences that people transform.

Learning Objective Participants Can Expect From This Event

  • Participants will describe the similarities in brain rhythms for non-ordinary states of consciousness

  • Participants will be able to define a non-ordinary state and how that differs from ordinary states of consciousness

  • Participants will list three ways in which office based clinicians can work with non-ordinary states of consciousness

Who is This Workshop Appropriate For?

  • Anyone interested in change, transformation, and consciousness along with mental health clinicians

How May This Workshop Impact Your Practice?

  • It may bring greater awareness to how we persuade people to make the changes they wish to make and how to create states of consciousness conductive to making these changes.
